Happy New Year 2009.

Our 2008 was a good year for Venteck, once again we have grown to a new level. Our programming business continues to grow thanks to the effort our project managers, programming and our clients. Our Network and Technical support business maintain previous level with a slight growth on the Q4. Our VOIP design and network deployments increased substantially, while our deployment of desktops has declined compared to previous years.

While most analysts believe some cutting-edge trends, like mobile advertising, are still half a decade away from offering immediate ROI to small and medium-size businesses (SMBs), technologies such as virtualization and the burgeoning proliferation of portable, Internet-connected devices can be well suited for midmarket companies.

It is expected that 2009 be a difficult year for those who do not adapt to the current economic climate, it is important to note that this does not mean to stop spending altogether. With IT budgets expected to be tight this year, small business owners must make wise investments in order to stay competitive. As we face more scarcity of IT dollars, our goal should be to simplify technology and redesign core systems.

Currently most of IT dollars, about 75%, are used towards repairs and maintenance rather than towards progress. Business owners are especially aware of this as they see their budgets reduced by the lack of sales.

Our opportunity this year will be measured by our ability to reorganize IT infrastructures, make them less complex and more agile to market changes thus resulting less expensive to operate.
